Application&Function
→Used in deflected tensile test for pre-stressed concrete steel strand (PCStrand).
→A PC Strand is a high-strength, steel strand used in the construction industry for pre-stressed concrete application. Pre-stressed concrete is a type of reinforced concrete that is strategically pre-compressed to increase its tensile strength and overall performance. PC Strands are typically made from multiple high-strength 7 steel wires twisted together to form a helical pattern. This design enhances their load-bearing capacity. They are widely used in various construction projects, including bridges, high-rise buildings, parking structures, and other large-scale concrete structures.
→Comply with ISO15630-3 Steel for the reinforcement and prestressing of concrete-Test methods-Part 3: Prestressing steel.
→The deflected tensile test consists of determining the reduction coefficient of the maximum force in uniaxial tension due to a deviation of 20° around a specified mandrel, for five test pieces of a sample of strand with a nominal diameter equal to or greater than 12.5mm.
