This machine is designed to test the friction and wear characteristics of floating seal assemblies during rotational operation, so as to research and verify the reliability and durability of floating seal rings. A mechanical face seal assembly consists of a stationary metal ring fixed inside the chamber and a mating rotating metal ring that runs circumferentially along the sealing face, which is specially applicable to harsh working conditions with severe wear.Featuring excellent wear resistance, long service life and superior sealing performance, mechanical face seals can effectively prevent the intrusion of external abrasive media. They are also known as heavy-duty face seals, permanent seals, floating seals and double-cone curved surface seals. Widely adopted as bearing seals, mechanical face seal assemblies are applied in floating seals for TBM disc cutters, face seals for construction machinery, floating face seals for tracked vehicles such as excavators and bulldozers, face floating seals for coal shearers and conveyors in the mining industry, gearbox face seals for dump trucks and heavy-duty trucks, axle and drive shaft face seals, agricultural machinery face seals, mixer face seals, and pitch bearing face seals for wind power generation equipment. The equipment performs rotational operation with lubricating oil injected to simulate actual working conditions involving oil, gas, water, dust, clay and sand particles. It realizes real-time monitoring of lubricating oil leakage and test temperature of floating seal rings. Tests are conducted under strengthened load conditions of 4 to 5 times the actual working load of floating seals. It supports axial loading performance tests, as well as synchronous angular offset loading and eccentric offset loading tests for floating seal rings. The system automatically plots temperature-time curves and torque-time curves of floating seal rings.
